Heat Press Application Instructions

Pressing temperatures, times, and pressure settings for First Edition EZ-On transfers, hot peel transfers, puff transfers, FCF/DTF transfers, and faux leather patches. Most sections include a printable PDF instruction sheet.

EZ-On Transfers

TEST SAMPLE FIRST – cut apart the included sample transfer and test before production. Pressure: Heavy 50 PSI. 1. Thread garment on lower platen (single layer of fabric only). 2. Preheat garment — prepress 8–12 seconds to remove moisture and wrinkles. 3. Press transfer for 12 seconds — 100% Cotton: 330–340°; Cotton/Poly Blend: 325–330°; Polyester: 320°. 4. Peel hot — remove carrier immediately. Settings based on our USA-made heat presses; may vary by press.

Hot Peel Transfers

TEST SAMPLE FIRST. Pressure: Heavy 50–60 PSI. 1. Thread garment on lower platen (single layer only). 2. Preheat garment — prepress 8–12 seconds. 3. Press transfer at 380° for 15–17 seconds. 4. Delay peel — wait 3–5 seconds before peeling carrier. Settings based on our USA-made heat presses; may vary by press.

Puff Transfers

SAMPLE TRANSFER INCLUDED — test first. Pressure: Heavy 50–60 PSI. 1. Preheat garment. 2. Press transfer at 350–360° for 7 seconds. Do not press a second time. 3. Peel hot. Instructions based on our USA-made machines.

FCF/DTF Transfers

Pressure: Medium-Heavy. 1. Set the heat press to medium to heavy pressure. 2. Set temperature to 300–325° depending on the material blend. 3. Press for 10–15 seconds. 4. Peel instant or cool. 5. Post-press: for a glossy finish press with a teflon sheet for 10 seconds; for a matte finish press with parchment paper or white fabric for 10 seconds. If the transfer doesn't adhere, re-press for a few additional seconds. Instructions based on our USA-made machines.

Faux Leather Patches

Pressure: Medium. 1. Preheat hat (or other non-laundered item) for 10 seconds. 2. Press patch — dual heat press: 280° top / 320° bottom for 45 seconds; single heat press: 320° for 45 seconds.
